Stucco

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (South San Francisco to Concord)

Basic experience / familiarity with residential and / or commercial remodels and additions, including:

• Ability to apply coats of plaster or stucco to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using trowels, brushes, or spray guns
• Able to mix mortar and plaster to desired consistency
• Able to create decorative textures in finish coat, using brushes or trowels.
• Able to cover the outer wall with reinforcing mesh, and a base coat
• Experience with curing freshly plastered/stucco surfaces
• Cleaning and preparing surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco or similar materials
• Understand how to properly achieve adhesion between each coat of plaster/stucco
• Able to apply weatherproof, decorative coverings to exterior surfaces of buildings, such as by troweling or spraying on coats of stucco.
• Install guide wires on exterior surfaces of buildings to indicate thickness of plaster or stucco and nail wire mesh, lath, or similar materials to the outside surface to hold stucco in place
• Protecting structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage

Requirements to Apply: 

• Minimum 5+ years in construction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to plan out project and calculate material take off
• Ability to provide out of the box solutions for unexpected challenges
• Ability to measure and cut with precision
• Experience operating skill saw, chop saw, reciprocating saw, drills, nail guns
• Work well with others
• Strong attention to detail
• Honesty and integrity
• Must be willing to admit mistakes, correct the situation and move forward
• Must be willing to fail and pick yourself up
• Ability and willingness to freely communicate with peers and management
• Clean DMV record with reliable transportation (proof of insurance)
• Drug free
